Portrait of a Beijinger

In 2014 I collaborated with cinematographer Abel Blanco to produce the short documentary series Portrait of a Beijinger. Profiling ordinary Beijingers with extraordinary stories, each episode includes a written and photographic essay.

The Australian National University

As Senior Communications Adviser at the ANU College of Asia & the Pacific, I'm responsible for marketing more than a dozen language programs. I've developed campaigns, supported by video, that highlight the student experience and unique selling points of our programs online and on-campus.

The above video was conceived based on remarks in the media by Shadow Treasurer Chris Bowen about Australia's need to increase Asian language literacy. Using these comments as a hook, I engaged him an influencer, The video was subsequently retweeted by several Senators, thus significantly expanding its reach.

I edited and voiced scripts for hundreds of news stories during my time at CCTV News. You can see more videos here.
